ennifer Christgau-Aquino is an award-winning Bay Area-based writer and editor. Her media career has included The San Jose Mercury News, the Bay Area News Group, Houzz and more. She’s taught journalism courses and helped companies big and small build their brands through engaging content. She loves creating a narrative, promoting a brand and sharing a company’s successes with an audience.
She launched a car washing service J.C. Bucket and Rags at age 8.
Multiple journalism awards from the Peninsula Press Club and Society of Professional Journalists in addition to Journalism Educator of the Year by CAL-JEC. She also helped launch the real estate magazine “The Registry” and created Mother’s On The Run, the Peninsula’s first female running group and blog. Her content for Houzz has also appeared on The Huffington Post and Forbes.com.
A poet and fiction writer. She holds an MFA in creative writing and has been published in Brain, Child, Third Wednesday and The Dime Show Review, among others.
Farmer. Jennifer and her sister own a 500 acre working farm that’s been in the family since the 1800s.
She lives in San Mateo with her husband, two children, dog, cat and an evolving menagerie of fish, lizards and for two days, a millipede.
